Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) / Spirometry
Spirometry (PFT) is a standard test used to assess how well your lungs work by measuring how much air you inhale and exhale and how quickly you exhale. Spirometry test services diagnose asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other conditions that affect breathing. A spirometry test is also used periodically to check whether a treatment for a chronic lung condition is helping you breathe better.
The SDI Group provides an assessment to provide each worker with a base measure of lung health. Having regular assessments of your lungs can help find any early health problems that may be taking place.
We offer differing levels of assessment based on the job duty and health history information. Health histories may include information relating to the employer and worker, previously related health reporting, and non-work exposures.
Our clients often have us support their workforce to:
- Lung conditions
- Assess the effects of toxic substances
- Suitability wearing a self-contained breathing equipment
- Assess as part of an overall fit for duty program
- Ongoing exposure surveillance programs.
We offer the convenience of on-site testing through our expert staff using our state-of-the-art testing equipment.
